## 26. Gutter Cleaning — Rain, Wet Conditions & Rescheduling

**26.1. Weather-Dependent Service** Rain, wet roofs, standing water and slippery surfaces may substantially increase the difficulty, duration and risk of gutter cleaning. The Company may postpone or reschedule work when weather or property conditions make the original appointment unsafe or materially more difficult.

**26.2. Dry-Weather Option at Original Price** The Client may reschedule for a suitable dry-weather date, generally allowing approximately seven days after rainfall ends for sufficient drying, although actual conditions control. The original price remains in effect if the scope and condition are unchanged. The deposit transfers to the rescheduled service.

**26.3. Wet-Condition Service at Double Price** If the Client requests service on the original date despite wet conditions, the Company may offer it for 200% (2×) of the originally quoted price, subject to technician safety approval and the Client’s express advance approval of the revised amount. A $250 quote becomes $500.

**26.4. Safety Override** No payment or Client request obligates a technician to work on unsafe wet roofs, ladders or other hazardous areas. The Company may refuse or postpone work regardless of willingness to pay.

**26.5. Weather Postponement and Deposit** A Company-initiated postponement due to unsafe weather is not a Client cancellation and does not itself forfeit the deposit. If no reasonable replacement date can be agreed, the unused deposit will be refunded as required by law.

## 27. Gutter Cleaning Methods, Debris Collection & Bagging

**27.1. Standard Dry Cleaning** Standard dry-gutter cleaning typically uses a leaf blower to remove loose leaves, followed by brushing or loosening remaining buildup and repeat blowing as needed. Technicians reasonably clear debris from affected accessible walkways, patios and driveways, including blowing leaves toward suitable lawn, landscaping or fence-side areas. Standard service does not include collecting all debris in bags.

**27.2. Wet Cleaning and Cleanup** Where safe, wet gutters may be cleaned with pressure washing or other suitable equipment. Water and mud may splash onto exterior walls and adjacent surfaces; the technician will reasonably rinse accessible surfaces directly affected by the work. Full house washing or driveway washing is not included.

**27.3. Manual Bagging Upgrade** If the Client requires leaves, mud and other gutter debris to be manually scooped or collected and placed into bags, the service price becomes 200% (2×) of the original standard gutter-cleaning quote. This is a substantially more labor-intensive alternative to standard blowing or washing. The revised price requires advance approval.

**27.4. Bagging Versus Hauling** Bagging debris on site does not include transporting it off the property. Off-site hauling is separately priced under [Section 28](#section-28).

**27.5. Wet Conditions and Bagging Together** Where both wet-condition cleaning and manual bagging are requested, the Company will provide a separate combined quote for approval before work; charges are not compounded or applied without disclosure and consent.

## 28. Gutter Debris Disposal & Optional Hauling

**28.1. No Standard Hauling** Expert Home Cleaners is not a junk-removal company. Standard gutter cleaning and manual bagging do not include transporting leaves, branches, mud or other debris off the Client’s property. Bagged material remains at a mutually agreed location unless hauling is separately authorized.

**28.2. Optional Hauling Rate** If the Company agrees to haul bagged gutter debris, the fee is $20 per standard large black trash bag actually removed from the property. For example, four bags cost $80. The per-bag rate must be approved in advance; the final number of bags may be determined after collection.

**28.3. Separate Service** Manual bagging charges and the $20-per-bag hauling charge are separate and may both apply. The Company may decline oversized, excessively heavy, hazardous, contaminated or otherwise unsuitable waste and will only transport waste it can safely and lawfully handle.

## 29. On-Site Gutter Inspection, Hidden Sections & Protection Systems

**29.1. Preliminary Remote Quotes** Preliminary estimates may rely on Client statements, photos, Zillow, Google Maps, satellite imagery or other records. These sources may not reveal all gutters, protection systems or access difficulties; the quote covers the reasonably identified scope.

**29.2. Undisclosed Gutter Sections** Additional gutters in interior courtyards, patios, roof valleys, extensions, garages, hidden rooflines or other sections not visible or disclosed during the estimate may increase the actual workload. The Company may revise the quote based on length, access and scope.

**29.3. Gutter Guards and Screens** The Client must disclose mesh screens, leaf guards, covers or other protection systems. These may require inspection, unscrewing or unclipping, partial removal, cleaning underneath and reinstallation where safely feasible and expressly included. The price may increase according to system type, condition and labor.

**29.4. Enclosed and Specialty Gutters** Enclosed, reverse-curve, gutter-helmet or narrow-slot gutter systems are not standard open gutters. Restricted access, specialized tools and disassembly may make cleaning several times more expensive; these systems receive separate quotes. The Company may decline unsafe or impractical work.

**29.5. On-Site Revision and Consent** The technician may inspect from a safe access position before confirming price. Any revised quote must be explained and approved before differently priced work begins. The Client may accept or decline.

**29.6. Declining a Revised Quote; On-Site Estimate Fee** If material undisclosed or not reasonably discoverable conditions require a revised quote, the Client declines it, and the original service cannot reasonably proceed, the previously paid deposit will be applied toward an On-Site Estimate Fee for technician travel, fuel, inspection and estimate preparation, provided this policy was disclosed before booking and is permitted by California law. The fee will not exceed the deposit or the reasonable actual costs/value of the assessment; any excess will be refunded. It does not apply when the change arises solely from the Company’s estimating error despite adequate accurate information.
