Clarksburg is a small Delta town on a natural levee between Sutter Slough and Elk Slough, on the Sacramento River in southeastern Yolo County. People here were historically called 'rimlanders' for that setting. The town is also the center of the Clarksburg AVA wine-growing region, so vineyards surround most of it.
That setting changes cleaning in ways that run on different calendars:
- River humidity is there all year, more than in the drier inland parts of the metro. It shows up as film on glass, damp debris in gutters, and conditions that suit moss on roofs.
- The vineyards add seasonal agricultural dust on top of ordinary valley dust, and it settles on sills, tracks, floors and outdoor surfaces.
- Homes are spread along the levee instead of packed into a town grid, so each house is its own stop.
Indoors, that usually means more dusting in the vineyard season and closer attention to closets and cabinets where damp air sits. Outdoors, it means gutters, roofs and windows that need checking more often than the same house further inland.
All of ZIP 95612 is in our regular service area, including the homes along the levee. The drive from Sacramento is about 20 minutes south.
