We clean carpets and wall-to-wall carpet with our own specialist equipment. What a job costs comes down to two things — the size of the carpet and how soiled it is — so the quote follows from those rather than from a flat per-room rate. Two things we need from the house rather than bringing ourselves: access to water and access to power. Both, not one or the other; the equipment does not run without them. It is worth mentioning if either is unavailable at the property, because that is the one thing that can stop a booked visit from going ahead. One carpet on its own runs into the $220 minimum. Hauling the machine into the house and plumbing it into your water and power takes the same time for one room as for four, so a single small carpet is rarely worth a dedicated trip — worth combining with another job if you have one.Upholstery and mattresses come under the same service: sofas, armchairs, dining chairs and mattresses. Pricing works the way it does for carpet — the size of the piece and how soiled it is — and the same two requirements apply, water and power at the property.
