Dunnigan is not a commuter suburb. It is a small agricultural community on Interstate 5 in the northern part of Yolo County, and its homes serve the farmland around it. Many are farmhouse-style and single-story, set on bigger lots with sheds and outbuildings, and the town mixes older agricultural housing with some newer construction near the I-5 corridor.
That setting decides most of what we deal with here:
- Seasonal dust from the surrounding fields, more of it than in the built-up parts of the metro, on top of the usual valley dust.
- Highway grit from the I-5 corridor, which collects on window tracks, driveways and walkways.
- More ground per property, so outdoor jobs like pressure washing and cleanouts tend to run larger than on a subdivision lot.
Indoors, the dust shows on sills, vents and floors near the entries. Outdoors, it settles on concrete, in gutters and on solar panels. The flat, open land around town means there is little tree cover, so leaves and roof moss are less of a factor than wind-blown dust.
Every address in ZIP 95937 is part of our regular service area. The drive from Sacramento is about 40 minutes up I-5, and visits are booked on the same terms as anywhere else we work.
