Florin has two sides that clean differently. Along the Florin Road corridor stand buildings dating back to the late 1800s; around them is the newer residential growth that came as Sacramento's suburbs expanded south toward Elk Grove. Both are in Sacramento County, and both are part of our regular service area.
The older corridor buildings and homes carry more original character: original fixtures, older tile and finishes that need to be worked around rather than scrubbed over. The newer houses are standard construction, quicker to work through and more likely to have rooftop solar.
What that means in practice:
- Older homes near the corridor: more hard-water scale in original fixtures, more built-up grime on windows, and often less built-in storage.
- Newer residential areas: standard fixtures and finishes, most of the short-term rentals and most of the ground-up new construction.
- The corridor itself: shops and services in historic buildings, which makes it Florin's commercial core.
Across both, Florin gets the same dry-season valley dust as the rest of the metro, so sills, vents and floors collect it through the dry months. Every address in ZIPs 95823 and 95828 is covered.
