4. Additional Service Fees & Surcharges
4.1. Applicable Charges The following additional charges may apply when relevant to the service, disclosed in advance, and authorized by the Client: same-day or qualifying last-minute booking — $5 per hour per service professional; additional work involving a disclosed and safely manageable pest-related condition — $10 per hour per service professional; additional work involving safely manageable biological contamination — $5 per hour per service professional; inadequate lighting requiring additional work accommodations — $5 per hour per service professional; basic clearing of standing water caused by a minor sink drainage obstruction — $20 per sink.
4.2. Cumulative Fees When multiple conditions apply simultaneously, the corresponding authorized surcharges may be added together.
4.3. Prior Authorization The Company will communicate applicable additional charges and obtain the Client’s authorization before performing the chargeable additional work.
4.4. Specialized Services The listed charges do not obligate the Company to provide pest control, hazardous-material removal, professional biohazard remediation, plumbing repairs, or other specialized services.
4.5. Drainage Limitations Any minor sink-drain assistance is limited to basic, non-specialized measures. The Company does not guarantee restoration of drainage or accept responsibility for pre-existing plumbing defects.
4.6. Other Disclosed Charges Sunday service fees, parking expenses, travel charges, and other applicable charges may be added when separately disclosed and agreed upon before service.
8. Payment Terms & Outstanding Balances
8.1. Payment Due Upon Completion Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining service balance is due immediately upon completion of the appointment and before the service professional leaves the property.
8.2. Deposit Deduction Any deposit credited to the booking will be deducted from the final amount due.
8.3. Authorized Additional Charges Approved additional working time, surcharges, and reimbursable expenses may be included in the final invoice.
8.4. Payment Methods The Company may accept cash, Zelle, cards, and other approved payment methods. Any applicable payment-processing charges will be disclosed before payment and assessed only to the extent permitted by applicable law and payment-network rules.
8.5. Unpaid Balances Outstanding invoices remain payable under the agreed terms. The payment deadline, any lawful late payment fee, and collection remedies are further described in Section 33.
13. Payment Delays & Billable Waiting Time
13.1. Payment Preparation The Client is expected to have the agreed payment method available when the service is completed.
13.2. Payment Due Without a Grace Period Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due immediately upon completion. No additional complimentary waiting period is included.
13.3. Waiting Charges If the Company requires a service professional to remain on-site after completing the work because the Client has not arranged payment, an additional waiting charge of $50 per hour per waiting service professional, prorated according to actual waiting time, may apply. This charge applies only when the waiting requirement and rate have been properly disclosed and agreed upon.
13.4. Multiple Professionals When two service professionals are required to remain on-site, the authorized waiting charge may apply separately to each professional.
13.5. Exceptions No Client waiting charge will be assessed for delays caused by the Company’s own payment system, administrative errors, or circumstances outside the Client’s reasonable control.
13.6. Alternative Payment Arrangements The Company may authorize its personnel to leave and arrange for subsequent invoice payment rather than require on-site waiting.
18. Minimum Booking Charges & Early Completion
18.1. Minimum Service Charges Certain appointments are subject to a minimum service charge, regardless of the actual time required to complete the agreed tasks. For example, a booking may have a $200 minimum service charge covering up to four hours of work by one service professional. The applicable minimum will be disclosed before booking.
18.2. Completion Before the Maximum Reserved Time If all agreed tasks are completed to the applicable quality standard before the maximum reserved service time expires, the service professional may conclude the appointment.
18.3. No Automatic Prorated Refund Early completion of the agreed work does not automatically reduce the minimum service charge or entitle the Client to a prorated refund.
18.4. Completion of Agreed Tasks This policy does not authorize service professionals to omit agreed tasks, intentionally rush work, or leave unfinished work merely to end an appointment early.
18.5. Clear Pricing Disclosure Minimum bookings will be described as minimum service charges covering up to a specified amount of time, rather than as guarantees that the professional will remain on-site for that entire period.
18.6. Applicability This policy applies to all Company services with an agreed minimum charge.
33. Payment Deadline, Late Payment Fees & Legal Collection
33.1. Payment Due Date Payment for services is due immediately upon completion of the scheduled work, unless otherwise agreed in writing. In all cases, the Client agrees to pay the outstanding balance in full no later than three (3) calendar days after the service completion date, unless a different deadline has been expressly agreed upon in writing. This outside deadline does not replace the Company’s standard requirement for payment upon completion.
33.2. Late Payment Fee If the outstanding balance remains unpaid after the three-day payment deadline, the Company reserves the right to assess a one-time late payment fee of up to $100, provided the fee was disclosed and agreed to before service and is enforceable under applicable California law. Any such fee must be reasonable compensation for anticipated administrative or collection-related costs and must not constitute an unlawful penalty. No fee exceeding the amount permitted by law will be charged.
33.3. Outstanding Balances & Collection If the Client fails to pay, the Company may pursue lawful collection efforts, including payment demands, referral to a collection service where permitted, or legal proceedings.
33.4. Right to File a Lawsuit The Company reserves the right to bring a claim in an appropriate California court, including small claims court when eligible, to recover unpaid service charges and other legally recoverable amounts. Court costs and other expenses may be sought only to the extent authorized by applicable law.
33.5. Preservation of Legal Rights Nothing in this section limits or waives any non-waivable rights or remedies available to either party under California law.
