Applegate is a small community in the Placer County foothills, strung out between Auburn and Colfax. Its housing comes in two kinds: older ranch-style homes, and newer rural construction on larger lots. The two ask different things of a cleaning crew, and most of what we adjust here comes down to which kind of house it is.
The older ranch homes carry more original fixtures and woodwork, which take careful handling, and their bathrooms tend to show more hard-water scale. The newer rural builds are more often two-story and sit on bigger pieces of land, so there is more ground, roofline and gutter run per property.
What both share is the foothill setting:
- Oak debris comes down through the year and lands in gutters, on roofs and in window tracks.
- Dry-season dust settles on top of it through the warm months.
- Shade from the older trees around the original homes gives moss a foothold on some roofs.
All of ZIP 95703 is in our service area. The drive from Sacramento is about 45 minutes, and Applegate gets regular service on the same terms as the rest of the area we work, not a special-trip rate.
