This one is priced after we see the job — tell us what you need and we will come back with a number.

Starting at $150.

Courtland's working farmhouses predate rooftop solar, so panels there are retrofits; any newer construction near the orchards falls under California's 2020 solar mandate instead.
Hard water is the enemy of a solar panel wash, more than dirt is. Minerals left behind by hard water film over the glass and can hold onto grime just as much as they clean it off — so the water gets softened before it touches the panels, and the wash itself is brushes and water, not pressure or chemicals that could damage the coating. Pricing starts at $150 for a visit — that's the minimum even if there are only a few panels on the roof. Past that, it's $10 per panel. A steep roof pitch or a hard-to-reach second story raises the minimum to $200, regardless of panel count — the complexity of the roof is part of what sets the price, not just the number of panels. One thing we won't do: put a number on what a wash is worth to your electric bill. We don't measure output before and after a visit, so we don't know the actual gain for your roof — and neither does anyone quoting you a percentage from a marketing page. What we can tell you is what the wash removes: dust, pollen, and the mineral film that builds up between washes. What that's worth in kilowatts depends on your system, your roof, and your utility rate — none of which we can honestly guess. One thing we always check while we're up there: the roof underneath and around the panels. Moss tends to build up specifically in that spot, because the panels block direct sun and the area stays damp longer — so the roof under panels is often in worse shape than the exposed parts of the same roof. We wash whatever we can reach, but not every spot under a panel is reachable, and we won't claim to reach the center of every one. Cleaning the roof itself, where it needs it, is its own job — priced by roof cleaning, not the panel wash, and the price depends on the roof's condition.
Panels on Courtland's older farmhouses are retrofits; newer construction falls under the 2020 solar mandate.

How we do Solar Panel Cleaning

  1. Price is set by panel count and roof complexity — a steep pitch or hard-to-reach second story raises the minimum, regardless of how many panels are up there.
  2. Water is softened before it touches the panels, so it doesn't leave the mineral film hard water would.
  3. Panels are washed with brushes and that softened water — no pressure washer, no chemicals that could damage the coating.
  4. We wash whatever we can reach, but not every spot under a panel is reachable — we won't claim to reach the center of every one.
  5. The roof underneath and around the panels gets checked while we're up there; cleaning it is its own job, priced separately as roof cleaning.

Solar array wash — about twenty panels in Elk Grove

The glass came out visually clean and even, with no leftover grime and no dried water streaks.

We looked the panels over first and confirmed there was no visible damage to the surface. Then the array was washed with soft tools and treated water — no high pressure, no abrasives, nothing that could scratch the coating.

Frequently asked questions

How is a solar panel cleaning priced?

$150 minimum per visit, then $10 per panel — steep or hard-to-reach roofs start at $200 regardless of panel count.

Do you work on any roof pitch?

Steep pitches and hard-to-reach second stories are more work, so they start at a higher minimum — we price based on what the roof actually requires, not a flat rate for every roof.

Are panels on Courtland farmhouses retrofits?

Yes — the older farmhouses predate rooftop solar.

Do you pressure wash panels in Courtland?

No — panels are washed with brushes and softened water everywhere we work, never a pressure washer.

Do you cover all of Courtland, including the orchard-edge properties?

Yes — all of Courtland is in our service area.

Is Courtland part of your regular service area?

Yes — regular service, the same as anywhere else in the metro we work.
