Dishes get washed, and anything still dirty in the sink gets finished before we leave. The fridge gets checked specifically for food guests left behind — it's a small thing, but it's usually the first thing an owner notices, and the thing past cleaners most often miss.
We work off the owner's own turnover checklist, not a generic one, and if a previous guest left damage, we photograph it before starting and send it over. Turnaround windows are usually late morning to mid-afternoon, though the exact window depends on the property; a guaranteed arrival time is something we can commit to under an ongoing contract, not a one-off booking.
In short: we clear out every trace of the last guest before the next one arrives.
A turnover is priced for a normal checkout. If guests threw a party — a sink full of dishes, the place turned over well past the usual mess, or someone was sick — that's beyond a standard turnover. We'll tell you before we start and quote it separately.
