Pressure strips the protective granules off asphalt shingles, and on soft roofing it does real damage — so roofs get a different method entirely, mechanical removal of heavy moss followed by a treatment that kills lichen at the root. If someone quoted you a pressure wash for your roof, that is the part worth asking about. Small jobs meet a $220 floor. The washer has to be trailered out, hooked to your tap and primed whether it then runs for one hour or five, and that setup is the part of the day a single walkway cannot carry on its own.
