Ranch layouts make the setup simple. With no stairs, the equipment rolls from room to room on one floor. The hookup takes the same time for one room or four, so doing the whole house in one visit uses that time better than splitting it up.

Not directly. The price is based on size and how soiled the carpet is. Carpet with decades of use often falls on the more soiled end of that scale, and that is what raises the quote.
Being single-story, does that make the visit go faster?
Usually, yes. There is no equipment to move up and down stairs, which is the case in most Citrus Heights homes. The hookup to water and power takes the same time either way.
Can you look at an area rug before we book?
