Overview
Solar on newer roofs
Panels are washed with brushes and water that has been softened first, so no mineral film is left behind and nothing touches the coating that could harm it. In El Dorado Hills, where the panels are is fairly predictable.
Newer construction in planned sections like Malby Crossing is more likely to fall under California's post-2020 solar requirement for new homes. The hillside custom homes in Crescent Ridge Village and Winterhaven Village vary more in when they were built and whether panels were part of the original construction.
Hillside roofs are also the harder ones to work. A steep pitch or second story raises the visit minimum regardless of panel count. Pine and oak debris settles on panels here more than in the valley, along with dry-season dust and pollen, and we check the roof around the array while we are up there.

Process
How we do Solar Panel Cleaning.
-
Panels and roof first
In your estimate request, tell us roughly how many panels there are and what the roof is like. Price is set by panel count and roof complexity, and a person replies with a starting price.
-
Soften the water
Water is softened before it touches the panels, so it does not leave the mineral film hard water would.
-
Wash by brush
Panels are washed with brushes and that softened water. No pressure washer, and no chemicals that could damage the coating.
-
Reach what we can
We wash everything we can reach. Not every spot under a panel is reachable, and we won't claim to reach the center of every one.
-
Check the roof below
The roof under and around the panels is checked while we are up there. Cleaning it is its own job, priced as roof cleaning.

Local notes
Working in El Dorado Hills.
Custom and planned
Crescent Ridge Village and Winterhaven Village lean toward larger custom homes on hillside lots, while Malby Crossing has newer, closer-set houses.
Stairs and slopes
Hillside lots add elevation change and extra stairs to a visit, something the flatter valley suburbs rarely ask of a crew.
Oak and pine litter
Closer to the foothills than the valley floor, the town collects oak and pine debris all year, with dry-season dust on top.

What clients say about Expert Home Cleaners.
The crew was right on time and did a thorough job, leaving everything in my place looking great and taking good care not to disturb anything. Marianna comes every Monday and turns our mess into a home—I wouldn’t give her up for the world.
Very excellent service. The team was on time and easy to reach, and they did a great job on the windows. Friendly crew all around.
The cleaner paid close attention to detail and made sure to focus on the specific areas I asked about. They were on time, friendly, and easy to communicate with throughout the process.
Alina cleans my house every two weeks and does an excellent job. Always. I appreciate the clear communication and consistency. Highly recommend!
My house is absolutely beautiful. I’ve had difficulty being able to clean it to the level that I’m used to and so to have her come in yesterday and just do everything perfectly put me at such a sense of ease I can’t recommend this service any higher
Such a lovely experience . I do not live in the city where the cleaning services were performed. Yaryna was kind, easy to communicate with, clear and responded promptly. The work was outstanding as seen via pictures. Highly recommended this company. Thank you!
Amazing Customer service and my house is perfectly clean! Could not recommend more!
Natalia showed up on time to our cleaning appointment. She was extremely respectful, soft demeanor, and very kind. It's always difficult trusting strangers in our homes, but I felt completely comfortable with having her here. She did an amazing job cleaning, and I will definitely request her return. Thank you so much!
The ladies were very friendly, patient, and hardworking! They did a great job and worked hard to get everything done. I really appreciate their effort and would definitely recommend them!

Something else on your mind? Call or text and a real person answers.
(279) 300-0830Is a Malby Crossing home more likely to have solar than a hillside custom home?
Generally, yes. Newer planned construction is more likely to fall under California's post-2020 solar requirement, while hillside custom homes vary more in when they were built.
Do you pressure wash panels in El Dorado Hills?
No. Panels get brushes and softened water, never a pressure washer and no chemicals that could damage the coating, on hillside and planned-section roofs alike.
Does a steep hillside roof change the price of panel cleaning?
Yes. Panel count and roof complexity set the price, and a steep pitch or hard-to-reach second story raises the minimum however few panels there are.
