The same checklist covers every Granite Bay home, but the hours don't come out the same. A custom house in Douglas Ranch or Granite Bay Hills usually has more square footage, and often more levels, than a planned-community home in Los Lagos or Wexford, so visits there run longer and the starting price reflects it.
The closer-set homes nearer Roseville are mostly standard two-story layouts. They are quicker to work through and suit a regular recurring schedule well.
Two things build up between visits here. Summer brings the valley dust everyone in the metro gets, and in fall the tree-covered larger lots drop leaves that end up on entry floors and in patio-door tracks. Homes near Folsom Lake see a little more humidity, which shows on mirrors and glass sooner. The kitchen and bathrooms come first on every visit, and the rest of the house follows room by room.
