Overview
Shade, moss and big trees
Moss needs shade, and in Granite Bay the shade is on the larger tree-covered lots. Roofs in neighborhoods like Granite Bay Hills are more likely to grow raised moss than the newer, less-shaded homes in Los Lagos and Wexford, and the area's proximity to Folsom Lake adds a little humidity on top.
Raised moss is brushed off by hand first. Then the whole roof is treated so remaining growth and flat lichen die at the root, and over the following two to three weeks they dry out and blow off in the wind. We come back after that to check.
On the open planned-community roofs the job is often just the treatment, since there is little to brush off. On a large custom roof on a wooded lot, clean-up matters more: whatever comes off is cleared from the yard and, where houses sit close, from the neighbor's side too. Fall leaves in the gutters below are a separate gutter job.

Local notes
Working in Granite Bay.
Two kinds of lots
Custom homes on larger lots in Granite Bay Hills and Douglas Ranch, standard layouts on tighter lots in Los Lagos and Wexford.
More outside per house
Big lots mean more driveway, patio and gutter per property, and homes near the lake see a little more humidity.
Dust, then leaves
Summer brings the usual valley dust; in fall the tree-covered lots drop leaf litter into gutters and onto patios.

The crew was right on time and did a thorough job, leaving everything in my place looking great and taking good care not to disturb anything. Marianna comes every Monday and turns our mess into a home—I wouldn’t give her up for the world.
Very excellent service. The team was on time and easy to reach, and they did a great job on the windows. Friendly crew all around.
The cleaner paid close attention to detail and made sure to focus on the specific areas I asked about. They were on time, friendly, and easy to communicate with throughout the process.
Alina cleans my house every two weeks and does an excellent job. Always. I appreciate the clear communication and consistency. Highly recommend!
My house is absolutely beautiful. I’ve had difficulty being able to clean it to the level that I’m used to and so to have her come in yesterday and just do everything perfectly put me at such a sense of ease I can’t recommend this service any higher
Such a lovely experience . I do not live in the city where the cleaning services were performed. Yaryna was kind, easy to communicate with, clear and responded promptly. The work was outstanding as seen via pictures. Highly recommended this company. Thank you!
Amazing Customer service and my house is perfectly clean! Could not recommend more!
Natalia showed up on time to our cleaning appointment. She was extremely respectful, soft demeanor, and very kind. It's always difficult trusting strangers in our homes, but I felt completely comfortable with having her here. She did an amazing job cleaning, and I will definitely request her return. Thank you so much!
The ladies were very friendly, patient, and hardworking! They did a great job and worked hard to get everything done. I really appreciate their effort and would definitely recommend them!
FAQ
Straight answers.
Something else on your mind? Call or text and a real person answers.
(279) 300-0830Do Granite Bay Hills roofs need more moss treatment than Los Lagos?
Often, yes. Larger, tree-covered lots in Granite Bay Hills give moss more shade to take hold than the more open, closer-set homes in Los Lagos.
Do you do the follow-up visit for Granite Bay roof jobs?
Yes. We return two to three weeks after the treatment to see the result for ourselves, the same as anywhere else we work, whether the roof is in Granite Bay Hills or Los Lagos.
Why not just pressure wash a mossy Granite Bay roof?
Because it strips the protective granules off shingles and damages soft roofing. Moss is brushed off and the roof treated instead, which kills the growth at the root without harming the surface.
