Rio Linda's Agricultural-Residential lots are largely built out, so ground-up new construction is less common here. What comes up instead is renovation of existing vintage ranch homes.
Renovation dust behaves differently from a new build. It does not stay in the room being worked on: it reaches existing cabinets and closets and settles on whatever stayed in the house. On a single-story ranch home it spreads across the one level, so the clean usually covers the whole floor, not only the remodeled rooms.
Outside, the lots add their own dust. Paddock and riding-area dust blows in through open doors while the trades work, which is part of why the next-day floor pass earns its place here. Hours depend on the size of the home and how heavy the dust is. Rio Linda is just north of Sacramento, inside the core metro.
