New housing makes some jobs easier. Fixtures have not had years to collect hard-water scale, gutters have not had time for root growth, and driveways have not weathered the way they have in older neighborhoods like nearby Rosemont. Landscaping is young, so there is less shade for roof moss too.
The trade-off is dust. With construction still going on around finished streets, builder dust reaches homes people already live in, on top of the dry-season dust the whole valley gets. It shows up in a few places:
