Newer buildings are easier to keep up, but the setting adds dust. Construction is still active around Vineyard, and builder dust gets carried in through entrances and settles on furniture and floors, on top of the valley's dry-season dust. The standard visit of wiping down furniture, mopping, vacuuming and dusting is built for that kind of daily accumulation.
