Heavy moss is brushed off, the whole roof is treated, and we come back two to three weeks later to check.
In Sacramento this is a single-family service. Downtown condo and high-rise roofs are commercial roofing on a shared building, handled by a different kind of contractor, so the work comes from neighborhoods like Land Park, East Sacramento, Curtis Park, Tahoe Park and Natomas.
Age shows on the roof. Older Land Park and East Sacramento homes generally carry more moss and lichen than newer Natomas construction, simply from more years of exposure, so heavy brushing is more common on those streets. Where houses sit close together, clean-up covers whatever lands on a neighbor's property as well.
Pressure washing never touches the shingles. If you also have solar panels, the roof around them is checked during a panel cleaning and can be booked here as its own job. Homes east of Watt Avenue are served on the Arden-Arcade routes, with no travel surcharge inside city limits.

Is roof cleaning worth it on a newer Natomas home?
