Panels on Folsom's newest roofs
California has required solar on most new single-family homes since 2020, and the Folsom Ranch build-out is recent enough that most of it falls under that rule. That makes the southern sections the busiest part of Folsom for panel washing.
Two local conditions work against those panels. Dry-season dust from the ongoing build-out settles fastest on homes south of US-50, and in spring heavy oak pollen drifts off the American River canyon onto nearby roofs.
