Glass on hillsides and new builds
The method is the same across the city: a water-fed pole from the ground outside, hand work on inside glass, screens and tracks. Where Folsom differs is setup and dirt.
American River Canyon's hillside lots are the slowest. The pole still reaches every window from grade, but a sloped, multi-level exterior means more moves around the house than on a flat Empire Ranch or Broadstone lot. Spring adds heavy oak pollen off the canyon, which coats glass and sills on the streets nearby.
Folsom Ranch, south of US-50, is the opposite case: new windows, but builder dust settling on sills and in tracks faster than in finished neighborhoods. Tracks get extra time on those addresses. Historic Folsom's older cottages near Sutter Street keep some original window styles that take more care by hand on the inside.

We bring the water treatment unit; all we need from you is access to a water tap. Hot water is not needed.

Outside from the ground
The pole and brush work window by window from the ground, scrubbing and rinsing with filtered, softened water.

Glass, doors and screens are cleaned by hand, with a long pole and a damp cloth for anything high.

Tracks and runners are done last, since that is where the dirt from the rest of the window ends up.

Somewhat. The pole still works entirely from the ground, but a sloped, multi-level lot means more repositioning around the house, which can add time compared with a flat lot.
We're in Folsom Ranch with construction nearby. Will that affect how the windows look after a visit?
It can. Builder dust in the area settles on sills and in tracks faster, so those get more attention than in an established neighborhood and may need it again sooner.
Can you reach the upstairs windows of a two-story Folsom home without a ladder?
Yes. Exterior glass on both floors is washed from the ground with the water-fed pole. We do not take on work that would mean standing on a ladder at height.
